Partners share about their work and what motivates them to collaborate towards a slavery-free community.
Kaylie, Senior Community Safety Officer, Chelmsford City Council
I have worked in Community Safety for most of my career and throughout this time our approach is constantly evolving, developing and adapting to ensure we achieve the best outcomes for our residents. My role has involved working on the establishment of Chelmsford Against Slavery Partnership (CASP) alongside fantastic colleagues and partners. Modern Slavery is and remains a hidden crime, where victims often feel trapped and unseen. My hope is that by working together to raise awareness amongst organisations, businesses and communities we will not only help identify victims but also empower them to come forward with the knowledge and confidence that they will receive the help and support they need to escape their situation and build a better life
